Review of Furry Vengeance (2010) by Lucy M — 19 Oct 2010
To even call this movie a family film, is an insult. By the time the credits rolled, I barely remembered anything of what I had just seen. Now either I do have a bad memory as I am often accused of having, or this movie was just that easily forgettable.
In "Furry Vengaence" It's Animals vs. Humans after it is known that a company plans to demolish the forest to make room for a sub division. You then see what you expect to see. Constant stunts being pulled by an angry raccoon, and it's equally ticked off animal posse.
Fraser gets sprayed by skunks, punched by a raccoon, and it goes on and on. Now, I like Brendan Fraser, he has been in some good films, but when he chooses a bad role, he manages to pick the worst of the worst.
As if they were the left overs that no other actor would take on. The movie is aimed mostly at younger audiences, but I think that they would even be rolling thier eyes while watching this film. Just byreading the movie's synopsis, you know what message this film is trying to make, and they fail pretty badly.
To increase the film's embarassment, they wrap it up with a terriable dance number as the end credits role. Causing me to believe even more in my theory that a majority of bad films end in a dance number.
Definitly one to skip.
