Review of Furious 7 (2015) by Kenny H — 26 Jul 2015
While obviously not the smartest film to come out this year, Furious 7 continues the trend started by the series' 5th installment by being a silly, and surprisingly fun, action movie. While some odd tropes from the previous films remain, like obligatory street races and drawn out establishing shots of scantily clad women dancing, they have grown to feel like self-parody and actually lead to some laughs.
Certainly worth the money to unplug and spend a couple of hours in the film's mythical world of broken limbs being mended by flexing, flying cars, and gun buses.
