Review of Furious 7 (2015) by Becky T — 19 Apr 2017
The last 45 seconds was great. The action sequences had great effects. This concludes the nice things I can say about the movie.
Whoever decided to give Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez so many emotional moments should be flogged. They can't act, so let them stick to blowing things up.
Whoever decided that all slow moment required fake smiles, cheesy music, and a dramatic pause should also be flogged.
Whoever wrote the final 30 minutes, and whoever didn't challenge the person that wrote the final 30 minutes, should be flogged. Every time I thought "Wow, this can't possibly get any more unbelievable" it was taken as a challenge. I started countering and ended up with this happening six more times.
If you ranked this as more than three stars, you either pity the cast and crew because of Paul Walker's untimely death, or you've never seen a good action movie (blowing stuff up AND acting), because I feel generous ranking this at 2.5.
