Review of Furious 7 (2015) by Aviation J — 04 Aug 2015
Understanding that rewriting an entire script around the death of one of the stars is difficult, the 7th installment in this series was above expectations. The new story fit well around what transpired in real life.
At times you have to consciously attempt to not wonder whether you were actually seeing a real Paul Walker scene or not, but if you let yourself go it wasn't apparent. I would have liked to see a bigger role for The Rock.
I suspect that maybe his role was decreased due to circumstances. Balancing the decreased involvement of one of the franchises top stars was obvious during some group dialog scenes. The traditionally supporting cast was thrust into the foreground but performed well.
Overall steady action and a good view. B-.
