Review of Furious 7 (2015) by Colby H — 19 Apr 2017
Furious 7 is the seventh film in the Fast and the Furious franchise. (duh) In this installment, a man named Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) is hunting down the team responsible for crippling someone. (no spoilers) Another man named Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russel) who assigns the team to retrieve a hacking device called the Gods Eye, with the help of Nathalie Emmanuel. This is so they can easily find Shaw. This was a fairly fun, and entertaining flick. I remember the first time I watched Furious 7. I remember thinking: Can they get any bigger? (they got bigger in Fate of the Furious) This time, the team manages to jump cars out of a plane (real stunt) from the Etihad Towers, and so fourth. Most of it was fun to watch. That being said, this film is riddled with plot holes that are too easy to notice. Which is my second biggest flaw. My biggest flaw is that Dwayne Johnson gets very little screen time. I was disappointed with that.
Over all, it has a lot of plot holes, but you won't notice much if you don't think. 4/5 stars.
