Review of Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus (2006) by Vincent N — 30 Apr 2008
The best movie I have seen since a long time. Nicole Kidman becoming Diane Arbus, as she is becoming a photographer. Hesitations, trials, doubts, scruples, psychologic anxiety as she meets Robert Downy Jr. afflicted with hair, being a freak show, but oh! so sensitive, intelligent, subtle.
A most satisfying experience as visual, content and acting are intelligent.
To hear the comments of the director, as we go over the movie again at the end of the DVD contributed to deepen my appreciation.
