Review of Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus (2006) by Lindsey T — 30 May 2008
Meticulously crafted and quietly moving. Keep in mind this is an "imaginary portrait" of Diane Arbus and it feels more like a surreal, fairytale than a traditional biopic. Parallels can be drawn to "Alice in Wonderland" as we follow Arbus travel down a forbidden rabbithole.
Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey Jr are great and their relationship is very initriguing. I'll give RDJ props for acting so well under all that hair.
