Review of Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus (2006) by Christine C — 10 Oct 2008
Boy meets girl. Boy marries girl. Girl frustrated and unfulfilled. Girl falls for enigmatic hairy neighbour. Girl and hairy neighbour hit it off and indulge mutual artistic inclinations hanging out with midgets, naked people, naked dancers and prostitutes, armless chain smokers and assorted interesting types. Boy gets jealous and grows beard in an attempt to jump on the hairy bandwagon. Child understandably miffed. Finally girl agrees to shave hairy bloke briefly revealing the lovely handsome Robert Downey. Night of hairless fun ensues followed by assisted suicide and bequeathment of hair covered shawl to grieving girl. Grieving girl goes to nudist colony to photograph nudists in the buff.
Unintentionally hilarious. Cannot understand why Chewbacca never bothered to trim his face.
Again, apologies to Ted Irvine for this.
