Review of Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus (2006) by Jake W — 10 Jul 2009
Pretty good and interesting movie. It chronicles the events that may have inspired Diane Arbus, a heavily influential photographer, known for her disturbing photographs.
It suggests that Arbus (Nicole Kidman, in a strong performance) fell in love with Lionel Sweeney (Robert Downey, Jr., in an equally strong performance), a man with an incurable disease that makes him look liek a werewolf.
It's good if you liek weird movies I guess, but it has a very arthouse feel to it.
Recommended.
