Review of Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus (2006) by Kevin K — 11 Sep 2009
A good film. It actually worked for me. Brilliant performances, especially from Downey Jr. I like how Nicole Kidman portrayed Diane Arbus, although I do wish she made her a little more confident.
Some critics need to learn how to read. The movie is called "Fur: An IMAGINARY Portrait of Diane Arbus". This means it is a fictional story. Honestly, what's the big problem with inaccuracy to the real Diane Arbus here when the story itself is fictional?
It's true that there wasn't enough photography in the movie, but I think there was enough to show it was important in her life.
Give it a chance and you might like it. I happened to be one of the few who did, very much in fact.
Recommended.
