Review of Funny People (2009) by Edward S — 11 Nov 2011
Of course, this movie had some hilarious moments, however I felt it was a little more of a darker comedy. I was half expecting it, so I wasn't too too disappointed. This movie wasn't about perfect people.
Adam Sandler's character didn't change after the sudden shock of a possible death. The girl of his dreams had a shakey, but a loving family that refused to break. You would think the Seth Rogan character would also stand up and save the day, but he never did.
All in all, it was enjoyable, but not something that blew me completely out of the water. It was a little weird for a summer movie I thought. And it was rather long as well.
