Funny People (2009).
Directed by: Judd Apatow.
R, 2 hr. 26 min.
Release Date: July 31, 2009.
Excellent deceptive satrical comedy with heaps of modern ways about it. I don`t/didn`t ever like Adam Sandler (i actually thought he`s retarted) over the years he`s sorta grown on me a bit but this diversification of his abilities impressed me the alot. He didn`t get all the funny lines though (what the movie is about at the neuclous) and I think that would have to go to the support cast in Jonah Hill as Leo Koenig and Aubrey PlazaAubrey Plaza as Daisy Danby backing up the way Seth Rogan (playing Ira Wright) has this stunted characterized speech impedement (i mentioned in 'Green Hornet' review) going on, so for the youth out there she does well at pulling this off, attractive enough also. Leslie Mann as Laura has a self confessed irritating (annoying) voice but is funny none the less with so much as a one liner and eric Banner is the same with a lesser part and the film comes off as a drama full of one liners. Crude and crass it starts off interesting and pans into as I said a drama so if you missed it get on and get it out.
Synopsis: A middle aged comedian (tougher than most limelight of personal personality privacy rights so it seems) finds though all the high times and low lifes points to forget and F%&*K instead of dwell has an intermission of medical impecability. THus though some provoked reasoning get`s involved with Ira Wright, a stuggling stand up comedian who though lows in life also, befriends the much higher profile George Simmons. So from cameo after cameo the plot thickens as a drama of life`s medical uincertainties covering all the needs to be done and known fullfilled and achieved. Theres a good person out there for these guys it`s just to realitywise to fit into a film though.
