Review of Funny People (2009) by Bryan N — 02 Jan 2012
The movie is more subtly funny than 40-Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up, but its safe to say that Apatow's latest feels more like a character study than an outrageous laughfest. It doesn't always click but when it does, its unlike anything a major Hollywood studio has put out in quite some time.
Wish he would learn how to edit, though. He's turning into the Michael Bay of comedies when it comes to length.
