The idea driving the plot is good but the plot disintegrates as it crests the midway point largely due to poor use of secondary characters. Also, it's a "dram-edy", so there is an attempt at humor.

Problem is that it wasnâ??t very funny. I give the movie three stars instead of two because Sandler turns in a great performance â?? I cared about his character, and sympathized with him even at his most unlovable.

But I would have loved it if the story and jokes had been more ably written.
