Review of Funny People (2009) by Hasib H — 12 Jun 2012
2 seperate movies in one thus making it seem disjointed and inconsistent. More of a dramedy then a full blown comedy at all. The first part of the movie was the interaction b/w an up and coming comic with a humongoid celebrity comic which was pretty interesting and hilarious.
The 2nd part where it becomes a trainwreck of emotions that oddly holds your attention but when you combine both parts, makes for a largely irregular movie. Aziz Ansari is a scene stealer as an up and coming comedian named Randy and I completely marked out when I saw Rza and Eminem.
