One of the most confusingly dumb movies. Not because the movie's execution or payoff are at all inadequate; far from it. The meta of the film is fantastic, and it's well aware of what it is - a movie about making fun of Adam Sandler, on top of a lot of other qualities.
Unfortunately, the stupidity comes in when you realize that even though Adam Sandler is complicit in making fun of the kind of dreck that he's been making, he went back to it all with That's My Boy and Jack and Jill.
