Review of Funny People (2009) by Rich W — 18 Jul 2013
Funny People is neither an insight into the world of standup comedy nor a mature film about human relationship. Furthermore, it is hard to escape its coating of obnoxious self righteousness. In the end, only Adam Sandler's casting as the lead character, with whom he shares a lot of traits, ends up being somewhat rewarding.
