Review of Funny People (1976) by Taylor R — 28 Dec 2011
This movie suffered from a bad pr campaign with trailers that lead the audience to believe this movie was something other than it actually was. This was promoted as the same kind movies as "40-Old Virgin" and "Knocked-Up", at least that's how I perceived it.
Though the crass humour/language is consistent the overall feel of it was more hybrid of a comedy and dramatic type of movie. I feel that was a good blend between the two and reveals that behind the people that make us laugh lie some people who as or more messed up like the rest of us.
