Review of Funny Games (1997) by Adam K — 24 Jul 2008
As the original before its american remake, it holds to itself a level of originality, but it cheats the viewer. its trying to make a point about media violence, but you can't show something of this sort to a viewer and then turn the camera away when key events occur.
it allows the viewer to feel nothing but cheated from seeing how far an on-screen boundary can be pushed. I give it major props for its motive.
