Review of Funny Games (1997) by The Critic ( — 04 Apr 2013
An exceptional thriller from writer/director Michael Haneke that captives from beginning to end. It is, indeed, a very violent film, but the brilliance of the piece is that the most disturbing acts of cruelty occur off camera.
Excellent performances across the board (Susanne Lothar is solid and Arno Frisch is chillingly brilliant) keep its audience engaged. Unmissable.
