As a child of the eighties and nineties, Chevy Chase IS comedy. For once Sparky isn't just one lining or making funny faces! Come on the apple scene? Lies to him about no apples and hears her eating it that night, that is comedy.
Or the pay phone? Yea, I agree, one of Chevy's better performances. FYI Chevy Chase was the first actor considered to play Kevin Spacey's iconic role in "American Beauty", but ultimately never received it, Spacey was a third choice.
