Review of Funny Face (1932) by Isaac L — 17 Dec 2007
With the exception of some outstanding scenes in the second half of the movie (mostly the photo shoot and the great dance behind the church), I was bored by most of the musical sequences. There is a reason why the musical genre didn't last long, and unfortunately, "Funny Face" did not age all that elegantly.
Then again, one might very well compare the ideological outcomes of this movie with that of the more recent Prada-touting devil.
