Review of Funny Face (1932) by Robert M — 29 Dec 2008
Yawnsville. There's very little dancing in this film. Astaire has one moment that really works. And when they make up Hepburn...she looks rather ugly. I prefer her before the heartless group of superficial clucking chickens get ahold of her and make her over.
And the overuse of the vaseline on the lens/star filter in the church sequence was really, really annoying. One to miss.
