When Jim Carrey dropped a tear in front of Alex Baldwin, that's great acting! He's actually speaking for all of us seriously, yet comic enough to transit audience to the ultimate revenge scene.
This is what a successful comedy should be, make you laugh while wanna cry at the same time.
