Generally preposterous? Sure. Formulaic? Of course. Fun despite that? Actually, yes. Fun Size is a pretty mindless romp of highly unlikely scenarios, which flashes occasional humor, intelligence, and surprising emotional depth (shallow as it is, it's still there).

A little bit of better writing and this could have been a gem. It's definitely got better messages for teens than a lot of stuff out there and for teen movies you can do a lot worse. It's not very good by anyone's standards, but it's good enough that if you need something easy to watch you may as well.
