Review of Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos (2011) by Beccy L — 12 Feb 2012
This a spin-off to the series which doesn't place between the Anime series or the Manga series if you been following the series, there was another movie before that which was Conqueror of Shamballa which was a sequel to the First Anime series back in 2005/2006.
Main plot takes place in Central where a festival is taken place in Central but suddendly an explosion goes off in the prison cells. Amysterious prisoner with only a few weeks left on his sentence breaks out of prison in Central City, the Elric brothers attempt to track him down.
The search leads them to Table City in the southwestern country of Creta, where Alphonse rescues a young alchemist named Julia from the very man they are trying to capture. In the thick of the fight, they literally tumble into Julia's home turf, the slums of Milos Valley, and are embroiled in the grassroots rebellion of her people.
I'm not sure how good the English version will be when its either released in Cinema or on DVD/Blu-Ray by this year for the rest of the world. The Japanese voice acting is pretty impressive and has subbtitles for who love watching Anime in Japanese with subbtitles, the animation however is a little different from the last film and the Brotherhood series.
Sacred Stars of Milos is still a movie highly worth watching if your a fan of the series or you found the last FullMetal Alchemistfilm disapointing you won't find any complaints for this one.
