Review of Full Metal Jacket (1987) by Cameronmorewood — 15 Nov 2012
Some may complain Kubrick's study of Vietnam is scattershot and tries to do too much for its run time. That's not its flaw, but its style. The climax is around 35-40 minutes in, which is delightfully unusual.
This isn't a Hollywood war epic, but a graphic study of the haunted and tortured soldiers of Vietnam.
