Review of Full Metal Jacket (1987) by Jared S — 01 Jul 2012
Great film, yet to me it feels more like two separate movies to me. It switches quickly from boot camp drills to conflicts on the front line. Very gruesome and realistic, portraying young soldiers who get thrown into battle and don't know what to expect.
The brotherhood between the characters grows as they endure their hardships, and the director shows this in an honest, realistic way.
