Review of Full Metal Jacket (1987) by Jarryd R — 05 Nov 2012
Kubrick takes on Vietnam in this intense and gritty war flick. In typical Kubrick fashion this film is full of dramatic camera shots that seem to make you uncomfortable and build suspense more than other films.
Diving into deep psychological thrills and chills, this film is not one to watch if you are looking for an uplifting happy ending. War is hell, and this film sticks true to that theme. Perfectly executed suspense yet again from Stanley Kubrick.
