Review of Full Metal Jacket (1987) by Yash B — 23 May 2015
Stanley Kubrick's classic war movie has resonating and thought provoking ideas and has a realistic vibe that makes it worthy of a recommendation. It also has gritty moments and impressive performances that are very impressive.
There are slow parts in the middle that seem to drag on but it somewhat adds to the realism of the film. The finale of this movie keeps you on the edge of your seat and the film's psychological ideas are bound to spark lots of discussion.
