Review of Full Metal Jacket (1987) by Bill S — 11 Sep 2012
A war film with incredible depth, delving deep into the psychology of soldiers. Showing that even when you brutally de-humanise soldiers to make them efficient and prepared for a bloody Vietnam War. When faced with unthinkable circumstances, even the cruel harsh training which director Stanley Kubrick depicts cannot stop them from irrationally losing their heads.
(A classic war film so watch with war film lovers).
