Review of Fugitive Pieces (2008) by Hannah C — 15 Apr 2008
This could not have been an easy novel to adapt for the screen, and for that I say bravo to Jeremy Podeswa. I could already tell he had some talent based on the episodes he's directed for Dexter and The Tudors.
This is a very lyrical film with its heart on its slave and even shows a sense of humor to boot. And while normally I don't like voiceovers, I couldn't get enough of this movie's. It was taken straight from Anne Michaels' gorgeous prose.
