Review of Fuck (2006) by Tom K — 13 Feb 2009

Enjoyable, esp. for Bill Maher's joke about pornography and Billy Connelly's ongoing manical ravings. But not terribly revealing if you're already well-versed in the works of George Carlin. I wouldn't recommend it to just any of my students of American Culture, as this movie ain't for the squeamish.

I grew up with the word "fuck," and as a vulgar American, use it often and sometime proudly. I can say that although the word is losing its taboo status, it never seems to lose its illocutionary force!
