Boyz n the Hood for a new generation. Every aspect is there, with Ryan Coogler demonstrating the same genius that John Singleton did two decades ago. The characters are humanised by representing not the dramatic, but the everyday.
Especially after Trayvon Martin, this rockets up the must see list for a nation to question, in some ways, the heart of their democracy.
