Review of Fruitvale Station (2013) by Steven H — 25 Dec 2013
This is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. It's was so brilliantly acted, especially by Michael B. Jordan and Octavia Spencer, and makes you feel for someone you've never met in only 84 minutes.
The story it tells is so powerful, and the whole way it was done so smart. Instead of showing the shooting and then exploring the aftermath, the story starts and ends within one day, which is seemingly random for Oscar.
His character was so interesting, and I was deeply moved by the time the credits started rolling.
