Racism, poverty, and ex-criminal life are flawlessly portrayed in one of 2013's greatest, most underrated films. Merciless and flawlessly-genuine performances, outstanding scene and plot direction, and an excellent situational storyline turns the film into one of the most tragically-realistic interpretations of some of the American society's most delicate issues. While it may never be known if the film is 100% accurate, there is no denying that it is 100% dedicated, 100% heartfelt, and 100% effective.
