Fruitvale Station is the story of the tragic shooting of a 22 year old father. Michael B. Jordan excelled in the leading role of Oscar Grant and his supporting cast including Oscar winner Octavia Spencer.
Oscar is an interesting character and one you immediately feel empathy for as a former drug dealer and thug who after his recent visit to jail is on the path to turning his life around, until a fateful train ride to Fruitvale Station.
An incredible directorial debut from Ryan Coogler and I can't wait for future projects not just from Coogler but from Jordan as well.
