This was a solid, well done film. No qualms about it. I loved that it didn't paint Oscar Grant in this magical white light, but you saw him doing his thing, good or bad. It's Oakland, so I say the guy was pretty dang good.
Regardless though, when it comes down to it, you knew what the ending was going to be, so even if he had completely redeemed himself,you know he's going to die. It kept my heart heavy throughout the entire movie, but the beauty of it is that I couldn't stop watching it.
It was engaging and there were some amazing performances. I see why everyone has Michael B. Jordan is on the top of everyone's list right now. I hope he continues to make good choices.
