Review of Fruitvale Station (2013) by Mike P — 26 May 2014
Heart wrenching, and of course close to home as we were living in Oakland pretty close to Fruitvale Station at the time. As a parent this hit home on multiple levels (both grandma's loss as well as Mom's/Oscar's).
Glad they didn't put much focus on the white officer, and stuck with the focus on Oscar Grant as a (imperfect but generally good) guy.
