Any flaw that may exist in the first or second act of Fruitvale Station is almost immediately donned irrelevant once the third act culminates. This movie takes its first hour and dedicates it to making you feel for Oscar Grant, and then the final half hour is drama to the highest degree.

Ryan Coogler's careful writing and tight direction matched with Michael B. Jordan's prodigious performance results in a dramatic third act that will send chills down your spine and tears down your cheeks.

It's a powerful film.
