Review of Frozen River (2008) by Sienna P — 22 Feb 2009

I had never even known about this movie until the Oscar list went up. I was blown away with this film. It's such an amazing/sad story about 2 women whose lives cross paths when both of the women are trying to get back the life they lost.

So to make ends meet they begin working together smuggling immigrants from Canada to the states. Each time they cross the border you hold your breath and hope that the police don't stop them. This is just a very gripping movie that should have gotten more deserved hype.
