Review of Frozen River (2008) by Eric H — 12 Dec 2009
A very delicate subject is presented here at the most delicate of places, the american-canadian border. Two helpless women illegally transport immigrant into the United States to be able to feed their children.
Things eventually will turn to drama, and when it does, the friendship presented is hardly believable, taken into account that no such affinity was existant between the two central caracters. However, the film was beautifully crafted, with astonishing landscapes to help everything fall together.
Just not my everyday cup of tea I presume, but nevertheless a good movie.
