Review of Frozen River (2008) by Andrew J — 06 Jan 2010
When I saw the poster of the film I thought ?sure will be boring? because I didn?t know nothing about this film and the cast was completed unknown. But how extraordinary to find a forty-something actress you've never seen or heard about before and capture your feelings?..amazing.
The film revolves around two impoverished single mothers one white, and the other a member of the Mohawk Native American tribe. The general theme is single mothers fighting for their life. The setting of the film takes place in the harsh, bleak climate, near the Canadian border during wintertime. Everything directing, editing and storytelling was so simple and clear. Cinematography, lights and sound work very good. The movie is included some interesting characters and great story.
