Similar to Winter's Bone, but not as good. Very moving and bleak portrayal of someone desperate, yet determined enough to do what is necessary. Best performance is by Melissa Leo, everyone else was nothing special or pretty standard.
I wonder if the events in the movie bear any resemblance to reality, because it came off believable.
