Review of Frozen River (1929) by Jared G — 20 Feb 2009
I really loved this one. More than "Slumdog Millionaire", "The Reader", "Doubt", and "Revolutionary Road". It's a realistic and heartbreaking story with a subtle yet amazing performance by Melissa Leo.
Filled with tension and suspense. You know from the very first frame that nothing good can truly be in store for our down on her luck heroine but you can't give up hope or stop rooting for her. One I won't soon forget.
