Review of Frozen River (1929) by Brian S — 21 Feb 2009
A harshly realistic thriller. it's gripping and intense but at the same time it reaches out and tugs on those familial heart strings. awesome performances from Leo and Upham, and a brilliantly written screenplay from Hunt.
overall a very powerful tour-de-force film that surprisingly missed mainstream attention.
