I finally saw this, and wanted to like it more. I'm not the target audience, which is fine, but I do feel like some other kids' movies have been more to my personal taste both in music and humor.

Also, some of the characters were more likeable than others, and I have to admit that this is not a movie I would enjoy watching multiple times. If you like Sondheim-style modern and self-aware lyrics, you'll probably disagree with me.

At least it has a pretty good message - love is the opposite of fear, never give up on someone you can believe in, relationships can be repaired, etc.
