Review of Frozen (2013) by Ariel B — 04 Jul 2016
Frozen was a good film but I didn't love the film. I felt it had issues that it needed to address and never did. (Spoilers Ahead) For instance, Kristoff's parents, where were they? Was his dad one of the ice pickers at the beginning at the film and why do the rock trolls not find or explain the whereabouts of them since they have magic and apparently they can see into the past regarding Anna's memories? Speaking of the trolls why and how is there magic different from Elsa's? I mean come on, they can hide memories from people that could do a lot of damage if the wrong people came into the picture and knew how to manipulate people? If Hans knew about the trolls and found them and paid them, he could literally have been a better villian than he was in the film.
Also on Hans, talk about a flip flopper, his personality changed like fifty times. Most villains you have a immediate dislike for or at least their character you just didn't like, this was completely out of the blue, and was a complete let down.
I also don't mind Olaf but it also needed some more explaining on how Olaf magically came too life all of sudden. My favorite sidekick character was Sven. He added a lot of personality to Kristoff that was needed to make the character likeable.
I also like Anna more than Elsa mostly because she took charge when she was able to and was operational and did a lot more than Elsa ever did. The animation was great but the story was poorly handled.
Hopefully Frozen two is better than one but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
