Review of Frozen (2013) by Jase N — 21 Mar 2015
I find it ironic that Pixar's biggest opponent is its big brother. Disney's animated comeback keeps on getting better and better with the good Tangled, great Wreck-It Ralph and now the Amazing Frozen doing what Pixar couldn't for the last few years taking the crown they first owned in the beginning of animation.
There are so many good things about Frozen though the original plot may be unoriginal it builds on it turning it into a instant Disney classic.
Frozen is about two sisters with a complicated relationship Elsa (Menzel) has cool (no pun intended) powers which she can summon snow and ice with her bare hands. This creates the problem when her sister Anna (Bell) gets injured. Everything went downhill from there with their parents dying and how Anna dissed her sister off the whole entire kingdom becomes frozen in a eternal winter. With the help of an ice seller named Kristoff (Groff) and a real live snowman named Olaf (Gad) Frozen turns from an ordinary Disney princess movie into the 2013s best animated movie with twists in store.
There are only good things about Frozen with beautiful animation, jokes and practically everything else including the great script. The amazing soundtrack would be in your head for days even in its worst moment. The only problem with it being so short but there is really nothing to say when there is nothing bad to say at all. Last but not least don't call this a girly kids movie because it's not.
Frozen is the best animated movie of 2013 with a great soundtrack and everything else.
By the way did you see Eugene and Repunzel from Tangled?
Rating: 8.2 (A-).
