Review of Frost/Nixon (2008) by Russell B — 27 Jan 2010
Watched this last night. Fabulous movie with incredible performances from the two leads (particularly from Frank Langella as Nixon). Seeing how tricky "Tricky Dick" could be under tough questioning was pretty fascinating to watch.
The only thing that frustrated me was finding out that the whole movie's basic foundation/premise is false. Apparently, the Frost/Nixon conversations weren't all that enlightening, Nixon never called Frost the night before their final showdown, and Nixon never confessed to anything.
So...a bit of poetic license has been taken here; but that's ok, because it really is quite a well-done film.
